I've set a deadline for a user, but they can't see the course.

Understanding why a user may not see a deadline for a course you have set for them.

There may be a couple of reasons why a user isn't seeing the course or the deadline in their area.

The course is not allocated to the user.
In order for a user to access content, it needs to be turned on for them. Setting a deadline for an individual does not turn content on, so you'll need to ensure they can access it as well. 

To check what content a user has access to, head to the user area and find the person you'd like to check. 

From here; select "enrolments" You'll be able to see all the content that the user can see. If the course is just for that user, you can turn it on in their profile under courses, if you'd like to ensure the course is turned on for the 


The user has access to the course, but they've completed it within 12 months

If you can see that the user does have access to the course but they can't see the deadline when they log in, it is most likely that they have completed the course within the last 12 months, so the system won't ask the user to complete the course again that soon. 


You can check this by running a report for the user to see when they last completed the course.
