What is a child group and how do I use it?

This article is for Training Managers

Child groups are an effective way to organise your company's learning, particularly if you have different tiers or specific areas that require greater control. They allow you to streamline the content available without the need to manually make changes to individual groups.

Under a parent group, you have the flexibility to create as many child groups as necessary, and these can be managed by administrators accordingly.

Here are some important points to keep in mind:

- When you enable a course in a parent group, it will automatically be visible in all associated child groups.

- Once a course is enabled in a parent group, it cannot be disabled in any of its child groups, unless you turn it off in the parent group.

- However, you have the option to enable additional learning specifically for a particular child group if needed.
